To our wonderful Nigerian community in Dallas and beyond, we at Tribes of Andrew are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own: Arike Ogunbowale<\/b>, the dynamic guard for the Dallas Wings, wearing jersey number 24<\/b>!<\/p>\n
Arike isn’t a rookie; she’s a certified WNBA superstar. Drafted by the Wings in 2019, she has spent her entire professional career lighting up the scoreboard for Dallas, and in the process, she has become a fan favorite and a face of the franchise.<\/p>\n
Her name, “Arike,” is a Yoruba name that beautifully translates to “a child you treasure, cherish, pamper, and love.” It\u2019s a name she embraces with immense pride, and she has always been vocal about the strength and discipline her Nigerian upbringing instilled in her.<\/p>\n
As Arike continues to lead the Wings, we want to show her the powerful support of her Nigerian diaspora family. Let’s make every Wings game feel like a home game for her. Whether it\u2019s by getting her #24 jersey, following her every move, or being present at games and team events, let’s create a special bond and connection that transcends the court.<\/p>\n
